A positive start for every child

Wickham Bishops Nursery and Witham Nursery create a happy, secure, and stimulating environment where every child is treated as an individual. We believe children achieve more when they feel settled, valued, and supported from the very beginning. Our approach is built around four key principles that recognise every child as unique, encourage positive relationships, provide enabling environments tailored to individual needs, and understand that children develop at different rates.

By working closely with parents and carers, we help children build confidence, resilience, and independence throughout their early years. Explore our Witham Nursery and Wickham Bishops Nursery to learn more about our welcoming early years environment.

Quality learning and ongoing support

  • Follow the Early Years Foundation Stage framework for children from birth to five.

  • Support every area of learning through engaging, child-focused activities.

  • Plan experiences around each child's interests and individual development.

  • Maintain high standards through regular Ofsted inspections, with reports available online and at our nurseries.

Building confidence through meaningful experiences

Our nurseries follow the Early Years Foundation Stage framework for children from birth to five, providing a varied curriculum that supports every stage of development. We encourage learning through play while building on each child's interests and individual way of learning.

Our educational programme covers communication and language, physical development, personal, social and emotional development, literacy, mathematics, understanding the world, and expressive arts and design. We also encourage playing and exploring, active learning, and creative thinking as part of everyday experiences. Get in touch to find out more about our approach to early years learning.
