Flexible childcare that fits family life
Witham Nursery provides childcare from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm, Monday to Thursday, throughout the year. Families can use their funding flexibly throughout the 51 years the year or during term time, cover there hours or for any additional hours they need. Children are welcomed from the age of two, subject to available places. Our nursery is thoughtfully arranged across two floors, with younger children cared for on the ground floor and older children enjoying dedicated spaces upstairs. Supporting children with healthy eating
We believe food plays a healthy role in happy minds and positive long-life habits, in the early years children eat can help change their taste preferences support brain development build a string foundation for long term health. That’s why our meals are freshly prepared on site and using quality ingredients our menus are thoughtfully designed to be inclusive, varied and nourishing, while meeting the current early years foundation stage requirement s. Above all we want every child to develop a positive relationship with food and grow into a confident curious eater.

Funding options

15 hours funding
Eligible working families can also access 15 hours of funding for children aged 9 months to 2 years, starting from the term after they turn 9 months old.
All 3 & 4-year-olds are entitled to 15 hours of funded childcare from the term after their 3rd birthday.

30 hours funding
From September 2025, 30-hour funding will be available for eligible working parents of children from 9 months old, starting from the term after they turn 9 months.
From September 2025, eligible working parents of 2-year-olds can also access 30 hours of funding
Working families with 3 & 4-year-olds may be eligible for 30 hours of funded childcare per week.

All-year-round funding
All funded hours are stretched over 51 weeks, as we close for one week over Christmas and New Year. This allows families to evenly distribute their hours across the year, rather than being limited to school term dates. See www.beststartinlife.gov.uk for further information.
